Community gardening

This group activity is suspended due to COVID-19, however you may be able to do simple gardening tasks as an individual volunteer. Find out more about individual volunteering, or read more about COVID-19 and the park. Please check back for updates.

The Friends of Ruskin Park and Ruskin Park Community Garden hold volunteer gardening on the first and third Saturday of every month from 10am to 12.30pm.

We meet at the Community Garden, near the main entrance from Denmark Hill.

Volunteers can get involved in vegetable growing in the Community Garden, or tackle simple gardening tasks such as pruning, weeding and bulb planting there and around the park. We sometimes work with staff from Lambeth Council to support projects such as the development of the Wildlife Garden and new planting.

Tools and refreshments are provided. Please wear comfortable, waterproof clothes and sturdy shoes.

Email info@friendsofruskinpark.org.uk if you have any questions.

Sometimes we schedule extra volunteering sessions and gardening skills workshops. Please check the Whats’s On page and subscribe to our newsletter to hear about them.
