Updated: Tennis court refurbishment has started
We recently heard that Lambeth Council’s contractor are refurbishing the four tennis courts in Ruskin Park. While the investment by Lambeth in sports facilities is very welcome, this means the courts will be out of action for up to eight weeks. The work was due to begin in early September but has only just started on Tuesday 25th September.
The timescale is subject to change due to weather conditions and we will try to keep our members informed, when we are updated by Lambeth.
The courts are being rebuilt with porous macadam and painted green with a slip resistant coating, to meet Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) performance standards. We have been informed there will also be new perimeter fencing and accessible entrances.
The contractor has been asked to display contact details at the site, but if you have any questions or concerns please contact Greg Knight at Lambeth Council, gknight@lambeth.gov.uk.
