Feel Good Festival – Saturday 15th July

The Feel Good Festival is coming to Camberwell Green on Saturday 8th July and Ruskin Park on Saturday 15th July from 11am to 3pm. Click here for the full line-up. Brought to you by SE5 Forum with the kind support of Kings College Hospital Charity and Lambeth Council.

  • Come down for free food, music, henna and face painting.
  • Stay to join in free taster sessions for all ages: from exercise, yoga, tai chi, chair-based exercise and roller skating, to arts and crafts, cake decorating and children’s tasty treats workshops, creative workshops and community gardening.
  • Get essential community health support – with food banks and pantries, life coaching and vital mini-health checks, mental health advice and signposting from the NHS.

The Friends of Ruskin Park are offering a series of short gardening talks and activities around the park – just drop in!

Planting for the senses

Join us in the Willow Garden (on the main path near the Denmark Hill entrance) where gardeners Caroline and Kaya will explore how plants can stimulate sight, taste, smell, sound and touch.

12:15 – 12:45

Tour of the Labyrinth Garden

Learn about the plants in the Labyrinth Garden – a peaceful flower garden in the middle of the park – and hear from Stephen and Bill from Urban Canopy about how they’re working with our volunteers to improve and care for it.

13:30 – 14:00

The basics of composting

Join us in the Willow Garden (on the main path near the Denmark Hill entrance ) where gardeners Caroline and Kaya will explain the basics of composting and share their top tips for composting at home.

Tree survey (for kids)

Bring the kids along for a fun activity exploring trees in the park with Stephen and Bill from Urban Canopy. Meet near the bandstand.
