Have your say on Dog Control in Lambeth’s Parks and Open Spaces
We have been asked to share the following:
The London Borough of Lambeth are asking people for their views on a new proposed Dog Control Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for Lambeth.
The need for a Dog Control PSPO has arisen due to an increase in dog-related antisocial behaviour issues in the borough, such as dog fouling, dogs making unwanted contact or acting aggressively, or being walked in banned areas, such as children’s play areas or formal ornamental gardens.
The proposed PSPO will be applicable borough wide, or for some proposals restricted to certain areas only, and will apply to publicly accessible land owned by Lambeth Council, including in parks, highways and communal housing land.
The proposed PSPO can be viewed in full here: Decision – Consultation over the Introduction of a Public Spaces Protection Order to tackle Dog-Related Anti-Social Behaviour | Lambeth Council
The consultation is running from Monday 13 February 2023 at 9:00am to Sunday 26 March 2023 at 11:59pm, and they want as many residents and open space users to comment as possible.
There is a dedicated web page on the consultation exercise which can be found at https://www.lambeth.gov.uk/consultations/have-your-say-dog-control-lambeth
