Labyrinth Garden
Help us care for this beautiful green space
Created on the site of the park’s former bowling green, this garden is maintained with the help of Friends of Ruskin Park volunteers.
The beds feature a mix of evergreen and herbaceous perennial plants, yew shrubs, spring-flowering bulbs, and ornamental grasses. The sundial in the centre of the garden was donated to Ruskin Park in 1910 to celebrate Felix Mendelssohn’s composition of Spring Song while staying nearby.
Our regular gardening sessions here are a great way to get outdoors, meet others and look after the garden.
Join us twice a month on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm. See below for upcoming dates. Regular tasks include weeding, watering, pruning, and planting. No experience is needed. If you have any questions you can email volunteering@friendsofruskinpark.org.uk.
