New Tuesday park gardening sessions
You can now join the Friends of Ruskin Park for a series of relaxed gardening sessions on Tuesday from 11am to 1pm.
They will be led by experienced community gardener Caroline and Lambeth Council park attendant Tim and will usually take place twice a month. The next sessions will be on 21st February, 14th March, 11th April and 25th April but keep an eye on the What’s On page for more dates. There’s no need to book a place.
Tasks will range from simple maintenance such as watering, weeding and pruning, to helping grow plants for the park’s flower beds.
No experience is needed. There will be opportunities to learn about growing plants, composting and cuttings.
We will meet at the Hut near the Community Garden. You are welcome to stay for all or part of the session and we will return to the Community Garden for tea and a chat at the end. Feel free to bring your lunch.
Please do not attend if you have COVID-19 symptoms or have been advised to isolate. You can read more about volunteering safely here: https://www.friendsofruskinpark.org.uk/safe-volunteering/
