Photography competition winners

Drum roll please as we announce the photography competition winners…

Thanks to everyone who entered the Ruskin Park photography competition – supported by Hunters. This year’s theme was Lights, Camera, Action and now we’re ready to put our winners in the limelight.

In the open category, first prize goes to Emmanuel Logan-Moll for his joyous image titled Superstar. Lights, camera, action indeed!

Image shows a little girl standing in a large paddling pool, with her arms triumphantly raised above her head whilst another girl with her back to the camera takes a photo of her and the setting sun

In second place, we’re treated to another stunning sunset. Trapeze in Ruskin Park was taken by Chris Tremain.

Image shows a couple in the midst of a trapeze act, silhouetted against a moody purple, pink and orange sky at sunset

Third place goes to Zoë Penfound for her dynamic and dramatic submission – Ola Butterfly.

Image shows a woman wearing butterfly wings stood in a park, swishing the iridescent wings to make a dynamic pose

Winner of the Under 16s category is awarded to 14 year old Jess Cashmore for their image Fire on Air, which really nails the brief.

Image is a close up of some bubbles on a dark surface that are reflecting light and the silhouettes of trees

The judges would also like to offer special commendations to Ben Marsh, Jack Sullivan and Paul Hylton for their respective entries.

All of the images featured will go on display in the park shortly. Look out for our exhibition on the railings by the Denmark Hill entrance, near the The Willow Garden.

Congratulations to everyone… and that’s a wrap!
