Photography Competition winners announced
An impressive 125 entries were received for the Ruskin Park Photography Competition – supported by Hunters – and the winners are in.
First prize in the adults’ category goes to Annabelle Mayers for her Mr & Mrs + Bump image which the judges thought fitted the competition’s Generation brief perfectly.
Second place goes to Bill Dalton for his stunning black and white image Regeneration, while third place goes to Marieke Wrigley for Peek-a-boo – who can resist a duckling?
Winner of the Under 16s’ category is awarded to Timothy Williams for Branching Out – it was a unanimous decision by the three judges – so well done Tim, who is 10.
There are two highly commended images that will also go on display in the park on the Denmark Hill-entrance railings by the Community Garden/The Hut in due course. These were taken by Kirsty Cole for Running Through Time and 12-year-old Rosalind Logan-Moll’s Tomorrow. Congratulations to both of them and all the winners.
A separate award was made by The Camberwell Society and goes to Viola Hajaj-Huhne, age 5, for Butterfly. This will feature on the front cover of the autumn edition of Camberwell Quarterly – a worthy winner too.
