Work starting on Steel Warriors outdoor fitness space

As we reported in July, charity Steel Warriors has reached agreement with Lambeth Council to bring a new outdoor calisthenics gym to Ruskin Park. The project uses steel recycled from knives taken off the street and is funded by the Co-op.

We have been informed that installation work is starting very soon, during the week beginning 2nd September.

Please note that the location of the gym has changed from the original proposal following feedback from tree officers and park users. It will now be located to the south of the all weather pitch, as indicated below but still subject to minor changes.

There may be a couple of vehicles in the park while work is underway, which will park on the grass next to the site. Temporary hoarding will be erected.
