Winners of the Photography Competition 2019

We are pleased to announce the winners of the Friends of Ruskin Park Photography Competition 2019, with generous support from Hunters Camberwell.

The competition has two categories: All Ages and Under 16s.

“There is no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather” – John Ruskin

The theme this year was specially chosen for our park’s namesake, John Ruskin – artist, art critic, philanthropist, social reformer, and one of the most progressive influencers of British culture and society – who would have been 200 this year.

The standard of entries was very high this year and entrants interpreted the theme in many interesting ways.

The winning entries are below.

1st Prize: “Snow” by Stephen Lamb

2nd Prize: “Shepherds’ delight?” by Mandy Milward

3rd Prize: “Like Tropical Weather” by Rachel Heng

Under 16’s Winner: “Sun, sky and a Beautiful Butterfly” by Paige

There is an exhibition of entries at Carnegie Library from Monday 23rd September.

Thanks to those of you who took part and we hope you enjoy the exhibition. We will also be featuring entries on social media over the coming weeks, so keep an eye out on instagram and facebook.
