Meet some new ‘check mates’ at our community chess event on Saturday 22nd March.
From 11am-1pm, we’ll be making use of the new chess tables in the park. Beginner or grandmaster, all abilities and ages are welcome. They’ll be a free drink for the first 10 players.

The chess tables were installed by Lambeth Council with funding from government to boost the game’s accessibility by placing tables within public parks. We would love to see local chess enthusiasts and beginners using the tables. There are chess and draughts pieces available to borrow from the Kiosk.
